Americal vet authors book about his service in Vietnam

Fellow Americal veterans,

My new book, Vietnam Vignettes: Tales of an Infantryman was recently released. You can view the book and read an excerpt by visiting the website following my signature below.

LTG (Ret) Hank Emerson reviewed the book and said: "Hell of a read. This book tells the heroic story of the 'grunts' in the Vietnam War. It helps explain why most who fought so bravely are still haunted by the experience, and by the subsequent lack of public respect for their exertions."

Medal of Honor recipient Drew Dix wrote the foreword. He said, in part: "Vietnam Vignettes recognizes our true heroes, gives family members a better understanding of what their loved ones went through, and what may have been going on in their minds while they were away."

I think visitors to your site would like to know that the book is now available. Barnes and Noble carries the book too, and it can be ordered from most book stores if it's not in stock.

Thank you.

He will be talking with veterans of the 1/1st Cav. as he prepares his new book.

Nolan has written several books on Vietnam. They include Death Valley, The Magnificent Bastards, Sappers in the Wire, and others.

National Commander Jon Hansen Appoints Watson to Jr. Vice-Commander (Fall 2005)

National Commander Jon Hansen has appointed Mr. Larry J. Watson to fill the position of Junior Vice-Commander. The position became vacant due to the resignation of Donald Shebesta.

The ADVA wishes Don a quick and complete recovery from his unexpected illness. His service to the ADVA and to veterans in his local area is greatly appreciated.
