I really appreciate the fact that all this information is on the Web. I just discovered it through a newspaper article in the Ventura County Star Free Press in Ventura, CA.

My Grandpa served in ww2 + Korea the most important thing he taught me was that all life was valuable . So did my Uncle who served in Korea my Dad ,ww2 these men earned thier purple hearts the hard way .I believe I'm a much better man for knowing them ,and I Know the boys who shot up the schools would never have done that if they Knew them!

Exceptionally nice and valuable Web Site! Very well done! I was not with the Americal in Nam... but was at LZ Baldy in '69 when the 1st MarDiv took over that ATO. (You guys had a GREAT messhall by the way! Marines were not allowed in the messhall; but we Navy Corpsmen got ahold of some plain OD green jungle fatigues (instead of our USMC cammies) and faked our way in with our Navy Insignia which the Mess Sgt's always took for some kind of officer! GREAT CHOW guys... THANKS!!! Aside from that, the Americal always seemed like a great outfit to we Corpsmen!!

i found this by mistake but im telling all that i know about this site i love it thanks.
