Thank you for providing this service.
I think this is a very good site, to help vets find each other after all these years. Thanks
I am a student in college and stumbled onto this site. My dad was drafted during Vietnam, but luckily was never sent over to fight. I have read some of the search entries listed, and am speachless. The mixed emotions of sadness and happiness is remarkable. I have read stories of courage, comradery, and friendship I would have not been able to get out of any textbook that my college could offer. True human emotion was revealed and this site is not only helpful to those who fought, but also to us who don't understand and want to.
I'm from Germany and looking for my birth father who was stationed in Fulda/Germany in 1962. It's hard to find out something here in Germany. The ADVA LOCATOR is a great chance to find people. Thank you!!!!!

Excellent site. I didn't realize any such thing existed. I served in E Troop 1st Cav. a bastard unit of the 1st Cav as the Ground Surveillance section leader and also as an ACAV commander in the 1st Platoon. I stayed in the army and retired as a Master Sergeant. I now earn my living as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. In all my experiences in 23 years of service, I will always have formost in my memories those brave men who fought with E Troop. Keep up the good work.
Good job I was with the 176 AHC mos 68 F 20 William Coleman 7/8/70 To 7/8/71
I LOVE this site and visit it just about weekly. You guys do a fanatastic job! It is easily the best website relating to Vietnam. I realize that it seems we Vietnam vets are taking over, but it is our turn. You WWII and Korean vets are my heros and you won't be lost in the shuffle. Eventually, those fine young people from Desert Storm will rule.
Personal to Mr. Swann in the July 98 comments. Please get your facts straight. Troops from the 11 Bde. perpetrated the My Lai massacre, not the 196. While it was certainly a horrible and inexcusable act, do not be so quick to judge until you have been there. Those of you who have not heard a live round go by and then want to criticize those of us who have get on my nerves.
No comments at present time. Just got hooked up internet. Still experimenting. I will let you know later. I can see where this site will help alot of people in the future. We appreciate your work. Thanks.
Thanks, Maybe I will run into some old friends!
I served with a great bunch of guys. I lost a leg in July '69. never have been able to find any one since.
